Motorcycle enthusiasts and bikers, 40,000 strong, from across the country are in Downtown Las Vegas real estate for the sixth annual Las Vegas BikeFest(TM), a national motorcycle expo and rally that returns to Las Vegas September 14 - 17, 2006. The four-day motorcycle event attracts some of the world’s most skilled custom motorcycle builders for an unforgettable competition, as well as 265 leading manufacturers and distributors of motorcycles, parts, accessories and apparel. This year’s event features a brand new attraction, Metric Revolution, the first all “metric” biker build-off competition for television, according to Harry Schwartz, president of Full Throttle Events, one of Las Vegas BikeFest’s partners.
Metric Revolution will be filmed onsite for television release. The final round of this custom bike build-off features 18 professional and four rookie builders, transforming stock metric motorcycles into “rolling works of art” to be showcased on September 14 and 15 at the Fremont Street Experience.
