Mirage volcano FireLas Vegas hotel purchase by Penn National Gaming is not happening now said this week by company sources.  Rumors in the news and online sources was the regional casino operator to purchase Mirage Las Vegas hotel casino surfaced after TI’s commercial real estate deal was announced.

World's Largest Hotel In Las Vegas Seeks Permit For 6,745 Hotel Rooms

Edge Las VegasWorld’s largest hotel in Las Vegas, NV seeks permit for 6,745 luxury hotel rooms.  A cash strapped Israel based real estate developer wants to build the largest hotel in the world.

Recently the formerly known company as Africa Israel Group, AFI Group, asked the Clark County commissioners for permits to develop the largest hotel, casino and 1,000,000 square feet retail complex adjacent to Hard Rock Hotel.   The W Las Vegas hotel was planned for that real estate as well as Las Ramblas.

Another Las Vegas Hotel Halts Construction Of Tower Due To Economy

Caesars Palace TowerAnother Las Vegas hotel halts construction of tower due to economy.  Continued drop in visitors causes Harrah’s Entertainment to stop construction on Caesars Palace’s new tower.

Today the world’s largest gaming company postponed approximately 660 new hotel rooms from its scheduled summer completion.  The decision was made due to news of less Las Vegas visitors.

Las Vegas Real Estate Market Update & Resale Home Sales For Dec 2008

ForeclosuresLas Vegas real estate market update and resale home sales for December 2008.  The Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS reported median home prices fell 32.7 percent and home sales went up almost 300 percent from a year ago.  Buyers are realizing that it is a great time to buy property.

Good news to report that during this time of economic crisis the monthly residential real estate sales continues to increase.  Traditionally December is a slow month for sales, but not for Dec 2008.
