All 18 UFC fighters competing on February 2, 2008 UFC 81 event made weight Friday afternoon at Mandalay Bay Las Vegas.

UFC Fight Night Live Mike Swick vs Josh Burkman

The Ultimate Fighting Championship event will be held at The Pearl Theater inside of the Palms Las Vegas, NV hotel on Jan 23. It will air live on SPIKE TV at 9pm ET/PT.

Mike “Quick” Swick will meets “The People’s Warrior” Josh Burkman in the Octagon for his long-awaited welterweight debut in the UFC Fight Night main event. It will be a tough fight for his first at welterweight. He wants to prove himself with his results and make a statement.

UFC 80 RAPID FIRE BJ Penn is winner over Joe Stevenson by submission choke. Ultimate Fighting Championship 80 pay per view event also had Fabricio Werdum winner over Gabriel Gonzaga by TKO in the second round.

The mixed martial arts fun and excitement in the Octagon took place January 19, 2008, at the Metro Radio Arena in England.

It was a packed house and broke previous house record held by Luciano Pavarotti. In attendance were 8,412 fight fans with a box office earnings record of $1.25 million.

Ultimate Fighting Championship 80 Hawaiian superstar Penn vs Stevenson will be held January 19, 2008 at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England. “The Prodigy” Penn vs Joe “Daddy” Stevenson will be fighting for the world lightweight interim title. This is a six year wait for Penn. There will be a heavyweight fight in the Octagon between top contenders Fabricio Werdum and Gabriel “Napao” Gonzaga.
