Las Vegas Visitor Totals Show Declines For Occupancy, Rates & Traffic

Las Vegas visitor totals show declines for occupancy, rates and traffic for March. Results released last week show the total amount of visitors to Las Vegas was 3.4 million, or a decline of one percent. With everything in Las Vegas, Nevada rising, including the once 99 cents shrimp cocktail, Las Vegas hotel owner’s lowered their nightly rates.
Hotel rooms in Las Vegas occupancy fell to 92 percent, a two percent decline. This brought the average hotel room rate to $135 per night. One influencer to the occupancy rate is the addition of 4,000 hotel rooms including Palms Place, Signature MGM Grand and Trump Tower Las Vegas NV hotel.
