Mirage volcano FireLas Vegas hotel purchase by Penn National Gaming is not happening now said this week by company sources.  Rumors in the news and online sources was the regional casino operator to purchase Mirage Las Vegas hotel casino surfaced after TI’s commercial real estate deal was announced.

Las Vegas Hotel Received Honored National Top AAA Award For 32nd Year

Golden Nugget HotelLas Vegas hotel received honored national top AAA award for 32nd year in a row.  The downtown Golden Nugget hotel casino has been given the honor by the Automobile Association of America as one of 14 hotels within the entire US to receive the 2009 Four Diamond award for 32 years or longer.  It is interesting to see that a property on the Fremont Street Experience.

Project CityCenter Las Vegas Opens Applications For Jobs Jan 5, 2009

Project CityCenter Hotels Project CityCenter Las Vegas opens applications for jobs on January 5, 2009.  The Las Vegas resort will need more than 12,000 jobs filled by an estimated 100,000 job applicants.  Employment for the $9.3 billion resort will commence early January.

Update 1/5/09: Project CityCenter Jobs are now available.

Hiring for CityCenter’s nongaming hotels, Vdara, Mandarin Oriental and Harmon will be administered by MGM Mirage.  In addition, they will oversee Aria and the dining, entertainment and retail real estate for Crystals.

Mirage Las Vegas Volcano Reignited Tonight With Fire Effects From WET

Mirage Las Vegas Volcano reignited tonight with fire effects from WET, the same water design company that made The Fountains of Bellagio hotel a reality.  The previous volcano’s pyrotechnics received a $25 million makeover to entertain tourists for the next 20 years.  It has been closed for renovation since February 2008.
